PENDIUM grew out of one author’s passion to serve other authors with quality and affordable self-publishing services. PENDIUM’s founder chose to self-publish his first book in 2001. As he searched for a company, he found the market was saturated with high-priced self-publishing companies that required a significant percentage of an author's royalties. In his opinion, this seemed unfair and not in the best interest of the author - especially if the author was doing the majority of the marketing. Instead, he believed authors deserved a professional publication, affordable publishing options, royalty ownership and personalized attention from start to finish - all the things he wanted. In 2006, PENDIUM open its doors and began servicing self-published authors with these goals in mind. Because the company is founded by an author, PENDIUM is uniquely positioned to understand and meet the diverse needs of authors choosing the self-publishing route.
