Searching for a Publisher?

If having your book edited is not important to you
Regardless of whether you use PENDIUM to edit your manuscript or someone else professionally capable of doing so, we're wanting authors who are serious about their work. You may be able to find an experienced editor on your own who can offer you quality service at a better rate than we can. If so, great. We encourage you to take it. Elance.com is one place you might want to search. Our concern is not whether we edit your book or someone else, just that it's been edited by someone experienced in editing and that your best work hits the market.

If you're not comfortable with written communication
We believe that keeping things in writing eliminates confusion and protects the author and the publisher from any miscommunication. It gives you, the author, additional protection throughout the publishing process and allows both parties to have notes to refer back to when it comes to instructions or other pertinent details. Being so, it allows us to work faster for you and have your book produced in the timeline we've relayed to you. If the amount of emails we received were any indication of potential phone calls, we would have to hire extra staff and raise our publishing cost along with increasing our turnaround time. Therefore, the bulk of our correspondence is done via email.

If you think PENDIUM will publish anything
Sorry, we just don't work that way. We like to make a profit just like anyone else, but we will not sacrifice quality for quantity. There are plenty of POD publishers that you can find online who will publish your book for the right price, regardless of the content and whether it's been edited or not. Most don't even care to read your work to even see if you can seriously write. This is a sure sign they are more concerned about making your dollar theirs, than putting out quality work. The literary marketplace is saturated with such POD publishers and books by them. We will not be a part of it. What you produce as a company is a reflection of who you are.

If you're expecting your book to be on bookstore shelves
Not to say you can't get your book on the shelf of the store, but you have to create a demand for your book first. And honestly, bookstores are the worst place to tell someone to get your book if you want to make a good royalty. Directing them to your website or buying directly from you in a face to face sale, earns you more of a profit. In addition, there is just not enough room in bookstores to house every author who has written a book. Being so, bookstores stock books they know are in demand and will sell easily - therefore making them a profit.

If you're not comfortable marketing your book
Because we offer a 100% royalty, marketing relies heavily on the author. To earn a 100% royalty means you keep all the profits from sales that occur outside of our website. PENDIUM markets its company and in the process showcases all of its book titles, whether on the homepage or at other areas of its website. We encourage each author to begin working on their marketing plan while their book is in the publishing process (i.e. developing a website, having postcards/bookmarks done, etc.).
