Cynthia Dixon

Cynthia Dixon is the loving and devoted mother of two incredible children on the autism spectrum. She lives in North Carolina with her husband, Kelly Dixon, and their two boys, Justin and Eli. After leaving her position as an assistant in an exceptional children’s classroom in 2010, she became a full-time homeschool teacher to their oldest son, Justin. Soon she realized this new teaching position was no easy paycheck! In fact, there was no paycheck at all! Cynthia leapt headfirst into the financial and emotional whirlwind of devoting pretty much every waking moment to her autistic son’s development. After their youngest son, Eli, was born in 2011, that whirlwind quickly became a tornado as more therapists and doctors where added to the mix. In a last-ditch effort to preserve the tiny shred of sanity that she had left, Cynthia started writing. It began as a therapeutic outlet until she realized that writing without anyone reading was pretty much the equivalent of talking to herself, so she decided that perhaps she should consider finding an audience. Tada! An author was born!
